This is one of the hottest events on ice in January, so don't miss out!! We typically host approximately 30 teams each year coming from Vermont, Quebec, New York and the rest of New England.
House Mite games will be scheduled on Friday evening and Sunday morning. Travel Mite (Majors) games are scheduled for all day Saturday and on Sunday afternoon.

What lodging options are available?
St. Albans offers a few different options for lodging including the Holiday Inn Express located directly across the street from our main rink and the Hampton Inn located in downtown St. Albans.
What food options are available?
St. Albans Hockey offers a snack bar within the Collins Perley Sports Complex. In addition, there are many excellent dining options throughout St. Albans. We encourage you to explore and give one of our local restaurants a try.

Tournament Rules
*A Horn will go off every 1.5 minutes to change lines.
* Any player who is “double-shifting” is required to go back to the team bench and touch the boards before entering the play of the second shift.
* Referee will throw puck to neutral location on ice between shift changes.
* After a goal is scored, referee will give puck to team that just was scored upon. Opposing team must back up half way across ice.
* Teams will have to share locker rooms and benches.
All teams must be ready to go on the ice 15 minutes prior to game time.
* No more than three coaches on the bench (due to room).
~ Mite Majors - 2 Divisions ~
(Platinum - Mostly 2nd year travel mite players)
(Gold – Mostly 1st year travel mite players)
* All games will consist of one 30-minute running time period
* Games will be played half-ice.
* Each team will consist of a goalie and four players on the ice.
* Each team is guaranteed 5 30-minute games
* Score will be kept by tournament officials and all decisions are final. No protests will be entertained. Please keep in mind officials are going to be teenage volunteers they are not NHL or Div. 1 or even certified officials.
* If a penalty is called, the penalized player must leave the ice for a shift, and is replaced by another player
* Points will be awarded as follows - 2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, 0 points for a loss.
* Teams will be ranked in their own division
* In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by:
1. Results of head to head
2. Least goals allowed (Total)
3. Coin flipped by tournament director
Teams will be seeded by division (Platinum or Gold) for playoff games on Sunday.
TIED PLAYOFF GAMES OR CHAMPIONSHIP
* 2 on 2, 5 minute running time, sudden death overtime. Any penalties called in overtime, another player for the shift will replace the penalized player in the overtime.
* If still tied, each team will select 3 players for a shootout. Most goals win.
* If still tied, Sudden Death Shootout. One player from each team until a winner. Must be different players than the previous 3 players selected. Once all players used at least once, any player may be selected as shooter again.
~ Girls U8 Division (Pending enough girls teams enter)~
* Each team is guaranteed four 30-minute games
* Games will be played cross-ice
* Each team will consist of a goalie and three players on the ice.
* If a penalty is called, another player for the shift will replace the penalized player.
~House/Minors Division~
* Each team is guaranteed four 30-minute games
* Games will be played cross-ice
* No score will be kept
* Each team will consist of a goalie and three players on the ice.
* If a penalty is called, another player for the shift will replace the penalized player.
Time will be shortened if tournament is more than an hour behind schedule, at the tournament director’s discretion.

$550 entry fee - 8U Mite Major - Guaranteed 5 Games with 4 Jamboree Games followed by Single Elimination Competiton.
